ABOUT ME

My name is Nadia Ortega, and I am proud to serve as the school counselor for Logan-Rogersville Primary. I recieved my Bachelor of Science in Education and my Master’s Degree in Counseling at Missouri State University. I began my teaching career in 2011, and joined the LR Primary team in 2017 as a first grade teacher. I moved into the counselor position here at the Primary in 2020, and feel so grateful to serve LR students and the community in this role. I will provide counseling services covering a number of areas such as: emotions, coping skills, friendship, conflict resolution, communication skills, diversity, teamwork, mindset, and career awareness. I look forward to serving you and your student. 

MY VISION

As a school counselor, I hope to incorporate a comprehensive school counseling program for all students to promote their academic, career, and social/emotional successes and influence them to become positive and contributing members of society. It is my goal to work with other educational faculty members, parents, and the community to build a safe school environment, promote kindness, increase coping skills, reduce bullying behaviors, and help students succeed in the many aspects of their lives.
