Kindergarten and first grade students have been working to build their stamina in independent reading. Students in Ms. Panique’s class have been loving this time each day, as they get to find a book of their choice and find a cozy spot around the room to read. Mrs. Ortega’s students added a fun twist to independent reading time by adding “Flashlight Friday”. Every Friday, they turn off the lights and read by flashlight! It is our goal to have books in our students’ hands multiple times each day to promote a love of reading.
