On the evening of Thursday, November 7th, the Primary School hosted "S’more Time With the Grands", inviting grandparents and family members to join students for a special night of fun, creativity, and connection. The turnout was fantastic, with families and loved ones filling the halls, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy that carried through the entire evening.
The night’s activities included a craft station where students and grandparents worked together to create a photo mat keepsake in the cafeteria. The cafeteria also held a s’mores trail mix bar, where students created their own custom snack mix and a coffee station for the grown-ups.
For those looking for a bit of friendly competition, we also had a lively game room set up with a variety of games for all ages. Families challenged each other to rounds of classic board games and fun activities that brought out laughter and bonding. The game room was a hit, providing the perfect chance for grandparents to see a playful side of their grandkids and share some lighthearted fun together.
No Grandparents' Day would be complete without photo opportunities, so a couple different photo booths were set up throughout the building, each decorated to capture the cozy, campfire-inspired spirit of the evening. Families gathered for photos, ensuring everyone had a chance to commemorate the night with a picture to cherish.
The book fair was also open, offering a wonderful opportunity for families to explore new books together. Many grandparents delighted in browsing through the selection, sparking conversations with their grandchildren about favorite authors and genres, and even picking out books to take home and enjoy together.
We are so thankful that so many took time out of their busy schedules to spend the evening with us, filling our school with laughter, love, and so many smiles. It was truly a night to remember!
